Popsicle stick crafts are so fun for kids, and these 60 ideas will provide hours of entertainment! You’ll love how easy these are to make.

Posted by admin on

When I was little we had to earn our popsicle sticks for crafts the hard way – by eating popsicles! I’m kidding, but also not really. On one hand, eating a popsicle or ice cream bar to get a stick isn’t such a chore.

On the other hand – it takes awhile to collect a number of sticks to actually be able to make something of substance! When you only get one popsicle a day, you’ve got a long road to hoe to gather supplies. I guess I was born in the days before bulk craft sticks could be purchased?

As you know that was ages ago, times have changed, and now kids’ craft supplies can be bought in bulk. And in different colors. It’s a whole new world!

If you love easy crafts for kids, you’re going to love these ice cream stick crafts! Buy yourself a big bag (or eat 1,423 boxes of popsicles) and get started on one of these ideas. There’s a little bit of everything for children of all ages. Whether you have a toddler or a 12-year-old, you’ll find a project you like in this list.

There’s only one question I get about these type of crafts that I should probably answer before you get started: which type of glue should you use with popsicle sticks? It’s an easy answer. Any liquid craft glue will work (like Aleene’s; I like the Fast Grab) as well as a hot glue gun. The hot glue gun is typically out when you’re dealing with young kids.

Mod Podge also works well with craft sticks, but I use it more for sealing my projects, adding glitter, and the like. It’s a decoupage medium, so that’s what it’s intended for, so it can be less viscous than craft glue. Have both around and you’ll have success with your popsicle stick crafts! Keep on reading to get the ideas.
