FULL SPECS: realme 8 – Bold new design and camera features, same affordable price

A mid-range smartphone below Php 14,000? Yup, it’s possible! If you’re the type of person who values camera output and aesthetics over anything else, then the newly launched realme 8 with a bold futuristic design and #InstagramWorthy camera features may be something that you’d want to check out.
On top of what I’ve mentioned in the video, let me go into detail regarding its trendy portrait modes which I liked: The Neon Portrait mode can be handy when you want to create dreamy shots when you have lights behind you. This works well on Christmas lights, fairy lights, and even bright lights from buildings from afar. The Dynamic Bokeh, on the other hand, makes moving objects more presentable when you take a photo. This way, our street shots can look way better, but it works well on static backgrounds, too! Lastly, the AI Color Portrait automatically turns our background into black and white to give more focus to the main subject of the photo. Best part about this is that it can automatically detect faces – which includes dogs!
The camera specs are also decent enough for vlogs and short videos as it has a Dual-view Video feature for walking shots, good stabilization (but I still prefer using a stabilizer), slow-mo video recording for dramatic shots, and a cinema mode for widescreen use.
Its 5,000mAh battery enables users to enjoy longer hours of taking photos and videos, plus recharge for a shorter time with its 30W Dart Charge. One full charge is enough for almost 24 hours of YouTube videos or 10 straight hours of gaming. When charging, you’ll only need at least an hour for a full charge. It uses a USB Type-C, too!
In terms of aesthetics, the realme 8 sports an ultra-bold “DARE TO LEAP” logo at the back which uses a special fluorescent material that absorbs light and emits a magical glow around the camera in low light. This design is said to emobody the youth’s trendy and fierce personality – not being afraid to express their emotions and dare to stand out. This comes in two colors — Cyber Silver and Cyber Black.
