What Is video equipment rental?
Video equipment rental is a service that allows you to rent expensive, specialized and often heavy production equipment for use on location or in the studio. Many people new to the filmmaking process are unaware of the need for this type of service and its many benefits.
The main reason why filmmakers need to rent video equipment is that they will not have access to the necessary tools at all times. Good video equipment is not cheap and cinematographers may not be able to afford it on their own. Even if they do have their own equipment, using it on a freelance basis can be very expensive because of the time associated with it. It is not uncommon for a filmmaker to have a busy schedule and be in need of video equipment. If so, they are going to want to utilize a video equipment rental service so they do not have to go out and purchase something every time they need it.
The need for video equipment rental has increased dramatically over the years because commercial and industrial films are now being made left and right. The market for these films has increased dramatically and having access to quality video equipment at all times is now necessary. While these films are being made, people who would otherwise spend hours setting up their own camera rigs will opt out of doing so

2. ShareGrid
ShareGrid is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace for tools and equipment. We give photographers, videographers, producers, and anyone else who uses expensive gear the opportunity to rent that equipment from each other.
Rather than one person owning several items of equipment and renting it out only occasionally, ShareGrid allows people to rent out the same equipment to multiple renters. Everyone wins: the owner earns extra income, renters get more options and often save money, and everyone gets to use the best gear available rather than settling for what’s available locally.
ShareGrid also enables rentals with flexible terms. Rental periods can be as short as an hour or as long as an entire year. Equipment can be rented by the day or by the month. We offer free shipping both ways, so renters don’t have to worry about pickup or returning equipment in one trip.
Unlike traditional rental shops, we don’t require any contracts or deposits. On ShareGrid you pay for what you use only when you use it.
ShareGrid differs from other peer-to-peer marketplaces like NeighborGoods and Getaround in one key way: on ShareGrid not only is the equipment offered by owners, but we also provide a place to find available rentals from other Renters! So if
3. KitSplit
Have you ever wanted to rent a camera to film your first music video, or take photos for a photo shoot, but didn’t have the money for it? Or maybe you’ve been doing photography for a while, and want to expand your portfolio. KitSplit is an online marketplace that helps photographers and filmmakers find budget-friendly equipment rentals.
Director’s Note: The story of KitSplit begins when one of our founders, Luis Von Ahn (creator of Duolingo), was looking for a photographer he could trust to shoot his wedding day. He searched around, but realized there was no easy way to connect with local photographers he could trust in his area. His cofounder Jeff Tseng had actually partnered with Brad Bao and James Chen on two independent films, so they decided to work together and launch KitSplit!
KitSplit’s mission is to make renting gear as easy as buying an app or booking a hotel room. We have all these fancy cameras out there that are going unused, so why not help people use them? We want to build an ecosystem where anyone can easily find, book, and pay for professional photo and video equipment rentals. And then get paid!
4. BorrowLenses
BorrowLenses is a camera equipment rental service where you can rent cameras, lighting equipment, tripods and other photo and video gear. Their website has information on how to use each piece of equipment and lists the price for renting it.
The rental period ranges anywhere from 1 day to 1 year and there are different plans available depending on the length of time you want to rent the equipment for.
BorrowLenses does not require any type of membership or special account in order to use their services. You simply enter your zip code into the search bar at the top of the page and click on your city from the list that appears. This will bring up a list of all the items available for rent in your area.
To view more details about an item that you’re interested in renting, click on its image or title. This will take you to a page with specific information about this item, including a description and images so you can see exactly what it looks like.
When you’re ready to rent an item, hit “add to cart” which will bring up a form where you can input your information, including your billing address and credit card number or Paypal account if you’d rather pay using this method instead.
5. Vantage
VantageScore is a proprietary credit scoring model created by the three main credit bureaus—Equifax, Experian and TransUnion—and is used by lenders. It was introduced in 2006 as a competitor to FICO score, but VantageScore isn’t just an alternative to FICO; it also has its own range of scores, which vary in number depending on the type of lender.
Versions of VantageScore range from 501 to 990, with 990 being the best. Some lenders require a score of 700 or higher to qualify for low interest rates and other favorable terms, while others will consider scores below 660 if you have a solid repayment history. If your score is between 501 and 600, you’ll generally be offered high-risk loans and high interest rates.
VantageScore 3.0 is the latest version of the model, released in 2011 to compete with FICO 8. Scores range from 300 to 850. In addition to the factors in previous versions (payment history, amounts owed, length of credit history and types of credit used), VantageScore also considers tax liens, civil judgments and other public records that aren’t included in traditional FICO scores.
6. LensRentals
If you’re looking for a camera to rent, I have some good news for you. There are now a number of online options available that can get you in the right gear quickly at an affordable price. Put simply, renting is the best way to try out lots of different lenses and cameras before you decide what you want to buy.
The truth is, most people don’t know what they need or want when it comes to lenses. Even if you do know your needs, renting will allow you to try a variety of different focal lengths and apertures to see how they work for you. Most importantly, once you’ve rented a lens and tried it out, you’ll know whether or not it’s worth the investment in buying it.
At LensRentals, our motto is “try before you buy.” What that means is that we are able to provide access to high-quality lenses from nearly every manufacturer in the industry. You can rent anything from wide-angle zooms like the Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM all the way up through ultra telephoto superzooms like the Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM. Additionally, we rent support equipment like flash
7. Fat Llama
Hello and welcome to my first e-book, Fat Llama.
I’m a twentysomething software developer from London, currently living in San Francisco. I work for a startup called “Acme Corp.” on a product called “The Acme Product.” The Acme Product is really great — it helps people share photos of their cats on Facebook (the most popular social network for cat-related content).
Thing is, I’ve recently discovered that I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with writing e-books. I don’t know why — they’re just so easy to write! So this isn’t the only one you’ll be getting from me.
I’m going to start by telling you about the Fat Llama. It’s an awesome animal, but not as awesome as the Panther Chameleon or the Black Mamba Snake. But it’s a pretty cool animal anyway — here are some details:
The Fat Llama is native to Argentina. That’s where I live now — San Francisco and Argentina are very similar in many ways: they’re both really big countries full of really nice people who like having stuff done for them (and who don’t like paying taxes).
Like in Argentina, almost everyone in San Francisco has a dog,
8. Wedio
Wedio is a cloud video creation tool that lets you create videos on the fly by adding photos and videos right inside your browser. No more downloading mp4 files to your hard drive, uploading them to a cloud video service, and then editing them on a different website. 8. Wedio is like an online multimedia studio, in which you can create slideshows or add pre-made slideshows to your own slideshow and customize them however you want.
Wedio has no watermarks on any of the images or videos so you are free to use all of them for your own purposes, whether that’s for personal or professional use.
What’s great about 8. Wedio is that it allows you to make full-screen slideshows directly inside the browser window without having to download any software onto your computer. By using simple drag and drop features, you can add images, videos, animations and text boxes into your slideshow without having to switch between web pages or programs.
If you want an image to fade out, just set the duration for it, and it will automatically fade when that time period has elapsed. You also have control over the transitions between images/videos as well as the background music, slideshow speed, opacity levels and font colors

I had a bad experience with K & M Rentals in the past. I went to self check in and after waiting 15 minutes on hold, they told me they no longer owned the property. I was then transferred to a different rental company who told me that I would have to wait until 8:00pm for them to send someone down to give me the key. I was there at 5:30pm so like an idiot, I waited. The person never came.
When i called back, I was put on hold for another 10 minutes and when I got off hold, the person said that he never got my call and that he would send someone over right away. That never happened either. By this time it was raining and cold and I just decided to go somewhere else.
I will never rent from them again if they can’t even give me a key to the place that I already paid for.

How Much Does Camera Rental Cost?
When it comes to renting a camera, you have two options: you can rent a new camera or rent a used one.
The price of renting a new DSLR will vary depending on the model and how long you are renting it for. If you want the best price, then you should rent a used camera because they will cost less. They go through rigorous testing, which means that they are in good condition and are ready to be used by anyone.
When looking for a good deal on a camera rental, it is crucial to do your research because there are many companies offering this service and many of them charge different prices. You can search online for the best prices or ask your friends or colleagues who have used this service before about their experience and if they would recommend it or not. The advantage of searching online is that you will be able to compare different services and prices so that you get the best deal possible.
By comparing prices from different companies, you can narrow down your search and find the best deal available. You might find that some companies will offer discounts if you book the camera for longer than seven days or if it is being rented for business purposes. Although the price of renting a camera might seem high at first glance, when compared with buying one outright and having
Video Gear Rental Is A Good Way To Save Money
If you are a film maker, video producer or just someone who likes to make videos then chances are you will have a need for some video gear at some point. But you probably don’t want to buy all the video gear you might need, so renting video equipment is a great option. A lot of people think that renting video equipment is an expensive way to go but if you look around the web there are plenty of companies that offer cheap video gear rental.
Trying to do that without a script can be difficult but there are some things that should be considered when coming up with a script. Most importantly, your script needs to grab your viewers attention right away and keep it. You also need to make sure that your script isn’t too long because this could get boring for the viewer. The best way to make sure your script is good is to have someone else read it over and give their opinion on it.
Another thing that should be taken into account when writing a script is the idea of natural pauses for the viewer. During these pauses the viewer should be able to easily follow along with what you are saying and not get bored. Make sure these natural pauses aren’t too long because then it could become awkward for the viewer and they might lose interest in what you are
Community Sharing Rentals For Video Gear
Ever want to shoot a video and don’t want to buy the gear?
Well, there are many people willing to share their own cameras and lenses with other people in exchange for money or favors. There is a community of people out there who are willing to rent out their own equipment, which can be rented by you for your project. You can rent these items for as short as a day or even an hour depending on the situation.
Description:
Video production requires lots of equipment, which can be expensive. A lot of aspiring filmmakers will spend thousands of dollars on gear before they have even sold their first video. If you’re looking to get into independent film-making, you probably aren’t going to have thousands of dollars available for your budget.
Luckily, there are ways around this problem. There is a community of people out there who are willing to share their own cameras and lenses with other people in exchange for money or favors. There is also a community out there who are willing to rent out their own equipment, which can be rented by you for your project. You can rent these items for as short as a day or even an hour depending on the situation.
This article will show you how to find and make use of these resources when you need them.
Online Rental Services For Video Gear
There are a lot of benefits to using online rental services over local options. The most obvious is that you can rent gear from just about anywhere in the world. You also don’t have to deal with pick-up or drop-off, and you get to use the latest gear, which you might not find at your local shop.
Here are some other benefits of online video equipment rentals:
Cost: If you’re renting expensive equipment, the cost difference between local and online rental can be dramatic. For example, when I rented a RED Scarlet from LensRentals for a music video shoot, it was about $150 for the weekend versus around $4,000 for the week from a local rental house. That’s because I was able to rent a more recent model (the RED Epic would have been over $5,000), and I didn’t have to worry about returning it on time or dealing with any pick-ups.
Availability: Online rentals are more likely to have more up-to-date gear than your local shop. It may not always be possible to get something like an Alexa or RED camera body (depending on what type of work you’re doing), but it’s worth checking out online before settling for something less.
Local Rental House For Video Gear
If you’re into videography, you probably already know that there are many different types of video equipment. If you’re not in this field, allow me to explain. You see, there are three major camera types for filming:
Handheld Cameras
Steadycam Cameras
Tripod Cameras
For those of you who are interested in tripods and steadycams, I want to tell you about a place I’ve recently discovered in my town where I can rent these items.
It’s called Media Rental House and they’re located here in San Francisco Bay Area (California). They offer a wide range of video equipment such as cameras, steadicam rigs, tripods and much more.
They also rent out lights, audio equipment, camera dollies and other cool stuff!
The best thing is that they deliver the product directly to your house by the next day so you can start filming right away! When I need to film something professionally or for a special event, like a wedding or a birthday party for example, this is the company I turn to .
One of the biggest challenges I have faced recently is finding a local video equipment rental house. I found one online and would have to have everything shipped to me.
This was going to be too expensive for my budget constraints. After a bit of research I found out about a local video equipment rental house that is only 15 minutes away from me. It is amazing that I did not know about this before, but after checking out the website I am very pleased to share it with everyone here.
The site is called http://www.joesvideo.com . They offer the best prices in the area and you can rent cameras, lights, audio gear, drones, and more. If you are in need of any of these services then check them out today!
What To Look For Camera Lens Rental Sites
When you need a new lens for your camera, you may not want to shell out the big bucks for a brand new one. Fortunately, there are plenty of sites that let you rent lenses – but they aren’t all created equal.
Trying to find the perfect lens can be frustrating, especially if you don’t know what you’re looking for. That’s why we’ve put together this list of what to look for when renting or buying a lens from one of these sites.
Image Quality
Image quality is always the most important factor in any lens purchase; dSLRs are extremely sensitive instruments, and every little flaw in a lens’ optics will show up in your photos. Whether renting or buying, make sure that the images you take with the lens look sharp and detailed from edge to edge, with no blurriness or softness in the corners. Anything less than this standard is unacceptable.
Lens Type
Not all lenses are made equally, so it’s important to know what type each one is before making your decision. Lens type refers to how much of your image is captured – ranging from wide angle lenses (which capture lots of space) to telephoto lenses (which capture a close-up view). A fisheye lens captures almost everything in
Rental Insurance For Video Gear
If you’re like me, you have a huge bucket list of things you want to accomplish in your life. For me, one of those things is to make a feature film. Sure it’s a long shot for some, but I’ve got the drive and the determination to pull it off.
A couple of weeks ago, I made my feature film debut as an extra in an indie film called “Dicks” which was directed by Matt Piedmont. The funny thing about this movie was that even though I was an extra, I felt like I was on the set of a major motion picture because they had to use professional actors and actresses who had worked with directors like Quentin Tarantino and Johnny Depp.
The point is that even though I’m not a professional actor or director, I still wanted to be prepared if the opportunity presented itself to do more acting or directing in the future. So when it came time to shoot the film, I rented video equipment from Sam Ash Music so that my performance would look good on screen.
So when we were finished with the film, they shipped back all of the video equipment they had rented to me and then I started looking into insurance for all of this stuff just in case something happens to it while it’s being shipped
Local Or Online Rental For Video Gear
Video gear can be very expensive, so renting is a way to test out a piece of equipment before committing to purchase. There are two options for renters: local rental or online rental. Choosing either option can be extremely convenient, depending on your needs.
Trying gear before buying it allows you to make sure you like the feel and features of the product, and it will likely save you money in the long run. However, if you are renting from a local vendor, you may want to buy the product outright because there will likely be fees for returning the item late or for damage that may occur during use.
Online rental shops are convenient if you don’t want to travel far from home to rent equipment. Also, if you find that the item is not what you expected or it doesn’t work well with other equipment you have, then online rental is a good option so that you’re not out of pocket as much money as if you rented locally.
Because online shops rent their products all over the country, they offer more variety than a local shop would have. You can find what you need and have it delivered right to your door. And delivery is often free with online rentals!
Conclusion: Is Video Gear Rental Worth It?
Video gear rental is a growing industry that gives artist and filmmakers access to high quality equipment for a fraction of the cost of purchasing the gear.
Topher Payne, Director of Creative Initiatives at GoPro, states, “Video production is undergoing a fundamental shift. The barriers to make content are being broken down by lowering cost of entry and more accessible tools.” Video production has never been so easy for artists and filmmakers…for better or for worse.
With the rise in popularity of vlogging and the democratization of content creation, there has not been an easier time to produce your own media. But with affordability comes mediocrity—and this is where things get tricky.
Sure, there are some amazing creative minds out there producing great work with their smartphones (just check out Casey Neistat’s Vlog), but it is clear that the vast majority of content on YouTube is subpar at best. This is not only due to those who are just starting out, but also established artists like Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry who have taken the medium into new territories—but perhaps not always in a direction worth exploring.
Video gear rental is a way to avoid this pitfall. Not only does owning your own equipment give you better control over your work as an artist,
